In order to further strengthen cadre team building of the Student Society Union under the guidance of the Communist Youth League, select outstanding student cadres, and fully realize the union’s purpose of "serving student societies wholeheartedly," our university’s Communist Youth League Committee organized the 14th Student Society Union Election Campaign at the Beijing Road campus and Meicheng Road campus respectively on Nov. 16 and Nov. 24, 2018. The jury included HYIT Communist Youth League Committee’s Deputy Secretary Xia Yun and a member of the Student Society Union’s presidium.
This campaign had two parts. First, each candidate gave a three-minute PPT presentation; second, a Q&A session, in which the candidates answered the jury's questions. Here, the candidates were well prepared, calm and elegant onstage. Each candidate spoke freely about how to do the job. In the end, Ms. Xia made comments and summaries for the campaign. The jury put forward suggestions for improvement and work requirements for the candidates and expressed high expectations for the upcoming Student Society Union's work.
The success of this Election Campaign not only injected new vitality into the Student Society Union but also mobilized student's enthusiasm for the union’s work. The new student leaders all said that they would live up to the teachers' great trust and serve student societies wholeheartedly.
The 14th Student Society Union Election Campaign ended in a satisfactory way. We believe that the Student Society Union will make more brilliant achievements under the leadership of new student cadres.
