Ⅰ. Huaiyin Polytechnic College

In 1958, Huaiyin Polytechnic College was founded.

In 1962, Huaiyin Polytechnic College was incorporated into Yangzhou Polytechnic College.

In 1983, Huaiyin Vocational College was founded.

In 1985, Huaiyin Polytechnic College was reestablished (sharing the location, office and faculty with Huaiyin Vocational College).

In 1986, Huaiyin Vocational College was scrapped.

In 1990, Huaihai Traffic Vocational College was incorporated into Huaiyin Polytechnic College.

Ⅱ. Huaiyin Mechanical Workers' College

In 1975, Huaiyin Mechanical Workers' College was founded.

Huaiyin Mechanical Workers' College was renamed Huaiyin Workers' College.

Ⅲ. Jiangsu Agricultural Reclamation Workers' College

In 1977, Jiangsu Agricultural Reclamation Workers' College was founded.

In 2000, Huaiyin Polytechnic College, Huaiyin Mechanical Workers' College and Jiangsu Agricultural Reclamation Workers' College merged into the Huaiyin Institute of Technology.
