Faculty of Transportation Engineering 

        The Faculty of Transportation Engineering offers five undergraduate programs, including Transportation, Traffic Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Automobile Service Engineering, Road, Bridge and River Crossing Engineering. Transportation Engineering is a provincial key discipline. Vehicle Engineering is a first-class undergraduate program in Jiangsu Province. Transportation is a key major of higher education in Jiangsu Province. Vehicle Engineering and Automobile Service Engineering are respectively the national and provincial pilot programs for excellent engineer education and training.

        The Faculty of Transportation Engineering has 53 members. Of the 40 full-time teachers, there are three professors and 21 associate professors. There are 21 doctors, 11 doctoral candidates and eight Master’s supervisors. There is a scientific and technological innovation team, two members of Jiangsu “333” training program, two middle-aged and young academic leaders of “Qinglan Project” of Jiangsu Province, three outstanding young backbone teachers of “Qinglan Project” of Jiangsu Province, and 11 persons of “Six Top Talents” of Jiangsu Province.

        The Faculty has established several teaching and research service platforms, including the National Vehicle and Traffic Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Center, Jiangsu Vehicle and Traffic Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Sharing Platform, Key Construction Laboratory of Transportation and Safety Assurance of Jiangsu Province, Vehicle and Traffic Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of Jiangsu Province, and Vehicle and Traffic Experimental Teaching Center jointly built by the Central and Local Government and the Ministry of Education, etc.

        In recent years, our faculty has undertaken 56 national and provincial scientific research projects, including 13 national natural science foundation projects. We have been granted 31 patents, and published 212 papers in SCI (E), EI and ISTP indexed journals. Our faculty has won one first prize of Jiangsu Province Teaching Achievement Award, one first prize of College Science and Technology Progress Award of Jiangsu Province, and 12 other awards at provincial and municipal levels.
