Recently, Dr. Chen Bolun and Jiang Wenxin, a master’s student from Complex Networks team of Faculty of Computer and Software Engineering, published their research paper entitled “Influence Blocking Maximization on Networks: Models, methods and applications” in the top international journal Physics Reports (Impact Factor 25.6). Our school is the first signature unit, and University of Zurich, ETH Zurich, the University of Fribourg, the Swiss Big Data and Network Science Research Center, and University of Washington are the cooperative units. Dr. Chen Bolun is the first author and corresponding author of the paper which is also the second high-level scientific research achievement published by the Complex Networks team led by Professor Zhang Yicheng of our school in this journal in the past three years.
With the booming development of complex networks in recent years, the study of topology and propagation dynamics on networks has attracted great academic interest. This paper mainly focuses on the maximization of influence blocking, which is an extension of traditional influence maximization. This research has attracted wide attention from cience, physics, epidemiology and other fields. This review can not only enrich the theoretical research results of the maximization of influence, but also may be helpful and meaningful for future study.
