Recently, the results of 2022 “Milan Design Week-China Design Exhibition” national final was officially announced. Teachers and students from Faculty of Design and Art won 1 first prize, 5 second prizes, 3 third prizes, 1 third prize of non-propositional professional group, 6 academic paper prizes and 1 excellence prize of professional group.
Jointly sponsored and hosted during 2016 to 2019 by China Education Association for International Exchange and China Association of Higher Education, managed by AAP project management office of China Education Association for International Exchange, “Milan Design Week-China Design Exhibition”, has been successfully held for five sessions, and has been selected for many years in the “Ranking List of National University Discipline Competition”. The exhibition this year includes three categories of design, digital media, film and television, and papers, covering visual communication design, product design, environmental space, fashion design, digital media, arts and crafts and traditional art, art design history, art design education, cutting-edge design discussion and others. A total of 17 works in our school have won awards. These works are featured by novel perspectives and various forms, involving all the three categories, which comprehensively reflect the overall level of our school and highlight the characteristics and advantages of our school in the design discipline.

In recent years, Faculty of Design and Art has been attaching great importance to the National Design Competition. For this competition, the faculty organized special personnel to be responsible for docking and contact, actively encouraged all the teachers and students to participate in the competition, giving full play to the role of the competition in serving education, teaching and talent training. Through “promoting teaching, research, learning and reform by competition”, the reform of the curriculum teaching content and teaching methods can be promoted, and students’ interest in the curriculum and their ability to apply the technology can be effectively improved. These awards fully show the professional background of the design discipline in our school, and also further enhances the popularity and influence of our school in the design discipline.
