In the final of the third National English Proficiency Competition for Colleges and Universities concluded on May 21, our students achieved good results with a total of 31 students entering the national final, competing with 3,858 students from more than 200 universities such as Sichuan International Studies University, Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology, Sichuan Normal University, Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, and Dongbei University of Finance and Economics. In the end, our students won 13 special prizes, 8 first prizes, 6 second prizes and 3 third prizes. Among them, Tao Hong, a Business English major from Class 1191, Faculty of Foreign Languages, won the first place with a high score of 95.8 points.

The 2nd “SFLEP VocabGo Cup” National English Vocabulary Contest Jiangsu provincial competition ended on May 21. In the non-English-major group competition, Zhao Zhanhe, Class 1203 of Computer Science and Technology, Faculty of Computer and Software Engineering, and Lu Xinyu, Class 1201 of Horticultural Landscape, Faculty of Life Science and Food Engineering, won the special prize of the provincial competition and entered the national final. Faculty of Foreign Languages won the Excellent Organization Award. Faculty member Chen Huihui was invited to share experience on the evening of the provincial competition.

 In recent years, adhering to the teaching concept of “Promoting Learning and Teaching by Competition”, Faculty of Foreign Languages set up the Department of   Entrepreneurship & Innovation, responsible for discipline competitions, innovation and entrepreneurship, which achieved remarkable results. Great achievements in discipline competitions have been constantly improving the reputation and influence of our school.
