“ Chinese youth in the new era should be able to shoulder the heavy burden bravely. They should be good at absorbing wisdom from our past experience, boosting our confidence, and increasing in our strength.” From May 10 to 11, HYIT Party Secretary Sun Aiwu, President Chang Lv, and other school leaders came to their contact classes, and gave one touching and tangible ideological-political lesson respectively for young students, guiding them to deeply study the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s series of important speeches, and further implement the COVID-19 prevention and control measures.

Sun Aiwu gave his lesson entitled “Learning Young Xi Jinping and Striving for a New Era” to the students in his class from four aspects including “Working hard and learning to meet practical needs”, “Exercising strict self-discipline and giving priority to integrity”, “Forging ahead and governing well for the people”, “Learning from examples and loving our school and making us the pride of our school”. He pointed out that only with responsibility will youth shine. Students should further enhance their sense of responsibility and mission, be full of confidence and courage, love our school and our country, have the courage to take responsibility, abide by the rules and discipline, follow the science-based COVID-19 prevention, cherish the time, and develop abilities hard. Striving is the brightest color of youth, and taking actions is the best trial for young people. He hoped that students can attempt to learn from Xi Jinping, draw nutrition, enrich themselves, realize their life purposes, bear in mind the country’s most fundamental interests, shoulder their mission, consciously practise the core socialist values, carry forward the spirit of patriotism vigorously, become more proud, confident, and assured in their identity as Chinese people and work hard for the best results possible.

Chang Lv gave his lesson entitled “Fighting Covid-19 Together and sparing no effort when running on the racing track of youth” from three aspects: “Understanding the situation clearly to win in the ongoing COVID-19 response”, “Adhering to dynamic zero-COVID policy, firmly building the COVID-19 prevention and control barrier”,, “Taking responsibility and actions and sparing no effort when running on the racing track of youth” He introduced the overall situation of the national COVID-19 prevention and control and our schools’ measures. He stressed that the most passionate is the ambition of the youth , and the most shining ones are the dreamers. He hoped that students can bear in mind the original aspiration and maintain vitality, aim for the future as “A hundred years old is still a teenager”. He hoped that the students would carry forward the great spirit of fighting COVID-19 pandemic, live up to the time, seize the day, work hard through vigorous and determined endeavor to strive for a better future with their youthful ingenuity and efforts.

In view of the current overall situation of the domestic COVID-19 prevention and control and the recent work requirements in our school, all the school middle-level cadres have been coming to their contact classes, helping students through theme class meetings and visiting dormitories to understand students’ basic situation, solve their confusion in study, life, employment, ideology and mental being and   encourage all the students to be school-loving and patriotic, improve their ideological awareness, and cement their security lines of defense.
