Recently, the National Natural Science Foundation of China announced the result of the 2021 projects. The program “New Theory and New Method for Trace Cycle Analysis”, applied by the advanced separation technology team led by Professor Chen Yi, Director of HYIT National and Local Joint Engineering Center for the Deep Utilization Technology of Mineral and Salt Resources, together with Sun Yat-sen University, has been awarded as a key program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, achieving the groundbreaking success in National Natural Science Foundation key programs.

It is reported that the team of our school will be mainly responsible for the “New Theoretical Research of Complex System Trace Analysis” and “Development of New Separation and Analysis Instrument”, and participate in the research of “New Separation Materials of Complex System” and “Development of New Methods of Trace, Efficient and Reliable Separation”. Dr. Zhang Jiadong, a young faculty member of our school, participated in the project research as a main member of the research group.

The key program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China is an important type of science fund research project series, supporting science and technical personnel who have laid good foundation in research direction or discipline growth point to to carry out in-depth, systematic innovative research, and promote the development of discipline and breakthroughs in several important areas or scientific frontier.
