The 50th Earth Day was coming. In order to call on the students to establish correct outlook on and awareness of environmental protection, implement the idea of "clear waters and green mountains are as good as mountains of gold and silver" and the "four measures for building a beautiful China" put forward by President Xi Jinping in the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, protect ecological civilization, build a better home and a green, harmonious, safe, civilized campus, the Volunteer Team "Olive Branch" of the Faculty of Applied Technology organized a series of Earth Day environmental protection activities on April 21.
After the activity started, the volunteers cleaned the dormitory area. The dorm supervisors praised: "Your volunteers have really helped us a lot, and you're also protecting the environment and the earth. We are proud of you!" In the end, the volunteers took group photos with the dorm supervisors, bringing the activity to a successful conclusion.
Through this activity, the students not only had a deeper understanding of the theme of the Earth Day but also deeply felt the initial purpose of environmental volunteer service and its significance and value. At the same time, they realized the responsibility and duty of practicing ecological civilization construction as HYIT students.
