To appraise the function and quality of the journals of Jiangsu colleges and universities in scientific research and academic exchange objectively and comprehensively, to set examples and direction, to promote the healthy development of the journals of Jiangsu colleges and universities, the Journal Society of Jiangsu Colleges and Universities launched the appraisal. Having been through a series of appraisal procedures based on objective data and applying intention, 2021 Outstanding Journals of Jiangsu Colleges and Universities were selected and Journal of Huaiyin Institute of Technology was selected successfully.

Journal of HYIT, whose predecessor is Journal of Huaiyin Industrial Technical College, was initially issued in 1988, and renamed in 2000. It is issued at home and abroad, serving the regional and the national economic and social development, providing an academic exchange platform for broad scientific researchers.

In recent years, Journal of HYIT has enhanced the column construction, actively carved out feature columns, released key columns meticulously. We have forged continuously “Research on Canal Economy and Culture”, “Research on Regional Development” and other special columns, forming our own style gradually. A large number of papers based on national-level and ministerial and provincial-level scientific projects published by our journal are reprinted and included by various databases and digests. Being selected as the Outstanding Journal of Jiangsu Colleges and Universities is a great honour to our journal and will surely stimulate us to strive toward a higher and farther goal.
