Liu Chengcheng, a student from Faculty of Foreign Languages, won the special prize in the 2020 National English Competition for College Students held in Southeast University, ranking the 3rd in Jiangsu province. Moreover, 18 students from College of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Faculty of Foreign Languages, Faculty of Business and so on won the first prize of Class B, Class C and Class D.
National English Competition for College Students (NECCS), authorized by Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and co-sponsored by International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (TFFL China)and College Foreign Language Teaching and Research Association, is the only comprehensive competition for college students with four classes, with the largest scale and the largest number of participants. The competition will help to comprehensively demonstrate the achievements of English teaching and reform in colleges and universities throughout the country, to ensure the implementation of various indicators related to college English teaching in the evaluation of college teaching, and to consolidate and expand students’ basic English knowledge and skills in the hope of improving their English practical ability in an all-round way.
