On the afternoon of April 17, HYIT held a hand over ceremony of antivirus technology products, attended by Sun Aiwu,President of HYIT, Yang Zhengya and Zhang Youdong, Vice Presidents of HYIT.
In combating COVID-19, HYIT gave full play to its technology strength to collect products used to prevent and control coronarvirus. At last six products projects were set up, of which five products have been delivered to relevant departments.
Du Siliang and his team of Faculty of Mechanical and Material Engineering have been dedicated to drone research for eight years and received more than 30 awards of competitions at home and abroad. Du Siliang and his team created drones and self-driving vehicles used for disinfection. The team headed by Cao Suqun from Faculty of Electronic Infromation Engineering invented smart robots which can spray disinfectant without making noise and distracting students from their class.
The team led by Zhou Renhe of Robot Association of Faculty of Mechanical and Material Engineering has engaged in drone research for about 10 years and won around one hundred awards of competitions at home and abroad. The smart robots created by the team will be used at the school gate to detect body temperature with functions of giving warning signals and audio sounds. These 24-hour working robots have greatly reduced the workload of guards.
The team led byYe Wei from Provincial Medical Material and High-Tech Medical Equipment Engineering Research Centre of the Faculty of Mechanical and Material Engineering created new type antifog medical goggles which are designed for medical staffin school. The new goggles have been delivered to Huai'an First People’s Hospital and used by medical staff who are fighting against COVID-19 on the frontline.
The team led by Tang Haiying from the Faculty of Design and Art created wood carvings titled All-Out Combat Against COVID-19 and posters to portray heroes and heroines and all the Chinese people who joined the battle in solidarity.
HYIT President Sun Aiwu praised HYIT faculty members who gave full play to their initiative in fighting against COVID-19. Sun pointed out departments concerned should put these products into application as soon as possible. Under the guidance of new state policy we need to bearour missions in mind, aim at our target and enhance our capability of technology and innovation in a down-to-earth manner and scientific spirit so as to make contributions to the city of Huai’an and the country and create new horizons for the technological advancement of HYIT.
Certificates are awarded to the product creators by Sun Aiwu, Yang Zhengya and Zhang Youdong.
The ceremony is attended by members from HYIT CPC Publicity Department, Science and Technology Department, Logistics Service Department, Security Department and HYIT School Hospital.
