From July 16 to 19, Jiangsu provincial competition of the 8th “China Construction Bank Cup” China International College Students’ “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Nanjing Agricultural University. With 15 projects winning awards, the students of our school performed outstandingly in the competition, including 2 first prizes, 6 second prizes, 7 third prizes, and the award-winning level and number hit a record high. Our school was also awarded the prize of “ Excellent Organizational Institution” in provincial main track of higher education and the instructors Zhou Chao, Zhang Jihua, Zhao Zhiguo of the team “Alien Bacteria Springing Up” and Li Chunbo, Fu Xuelong and Bi Yanhong of the team “Holding Waste Beans” were awarded excellent instructors.

For a long time, the school has attached great importance to innovative entrepreneurship education and actively carried out various kinds of competitions and practical activities. Since the selection of the participants and preparations for the school competition began in October last year, a total of 1049 teams from various faculties have signed up and 4468 students have participated in the competition. After the school competition, 12 teams were recommended as the main track of higher education, among which 5 “Youth Red Dream-Building Journey” track projects and 5 industrial proposition track projects participated in the provincial competition. After online road performance defense, 8 projects got through to the provincial final at last.

It is reported that the competition attracted a total of 505803 people of 123085 teams from 155 universities (including 79 vocational colleges) in Jiangsu to participate in the preliminary competition (school competition). The main track of higher education, the red brigade track and the industrial track recommended a total of 1388 projects to participate in the provincial semi-finals. After that, 340 teams went through to the finals. The competition has become an innovation and entrepreneurship event with the most comprehensive coverage of universities, the maximum number of participating teams, the highest level of participation and the greatest impact, as well as the largest, newest and most vivid ideological and political classroom. It has also become an important platform to further the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities and to promote the students’ all-round development.
