In accordance with the requirements ofNotice of the Publication of the List of Provincial Key Disciplines of the 13th Five-Year Plan, the Department of Education in Jiangsu organized experts to carry out final acceptance of key disciplines during the 13th Five-Year Plan. HYIT’s 2 provincial key disciplines of chemical engineering and technology and mechanical engineering won the excellent grade.

During the 13th Five-Year Plan period, HYIT was approved five provincial key disciplines, including one provincial key (cultivating) discipline of chemical engineering and four key disciplines of mechanical engineering, transportation engineering, software engineering and physical science. This time, all the five key disciplines participated in the final acceptance, and the evaluation results are as follows:

In recent years, HYIT has closely linked up with the needs of local social and economic development, implemented the “first-class discipline construction” plan and “246X” discipline construction project, actively explored and implemented the development of discipline-specialty integration according to the characteristics of local applied colleges, implemented discipline-specialty integration construction relying on the teaching and research platform, and educated students based on the cooperation of teaching and scientific research. As a result, the school has continuously improved the level of discipline construction.
