On the morning of Sep. 5, the 11th “Challenge Cup” Jiangsu Provincial College Students’ Business Plan Competition, sponsored by Jiangsu Communist Youth League, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology, Jiangsu Students’ Federation, and the Huai’an Municipal Government, and co-sponsored by Huaiyin Institute of Technology, closed successfully its final round in HYIT’s Stadium of Meicheng Road Campus.

339 works from 138 colleges and universities entered the final after the fierce rounds of online defense and cloud review. Finally, 80 works from 55 colleges and universities won the gold medal, and 77 works were shortlisted in the national competition. The number of entries in the national competition ranked first in the country. According to the total project score of each university, altogether 30 colleges and universities obtained “Winners’ Cup” in the competition. China University of Mining and Technology won the “Challenge Cup” trophy with the highest total score.

During this competition, the project of Xinliang Peach Wine team from Faculty of Life Science and Food Engineering, HYIT, “Xinliang Peach Wine — the Leader of Honey Peach Wine Brewing Technology”, and the project of Rice Family team from Faculty of Mechanical and Material Engineering, HYIT “Bringing Original Grain  Home— Striving to be the Pioneer of Present Grinding Mode”, won the gold medal and entered the national competition. Meanwhile, HYIT harvested the “Winners’ Cup” for the first time.

Wu Jianhua, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee and Vice-president of Huaiyin Institute of Technology and Jiang Yongwu, Party Committee member and Vice President of China Construction Bank, Huai’an Branch presented the Golden Prize of the Competition to the winners (the first group).

Zhang Yingchun, Deputy Secretary of Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee of the Communist Youth League and Zhu Boyang, Chairman of Jiangsu Students Association presented the gold medal to the award-winning units (the second group).

 Yang Wenxin, Deputy Inspector of Jiangsu Science and Technology Association and Sun Aiwu, Deputy of Party Committee and President of Huaiyin Institute of Technology presented the Golden Prize for the award-winning units (the third group).

Zhao Bingqi, Secretary of Party Committee of Huaiyin Institute of Technology and Sun Hu, Member of Standing Committee and Organization Department of Huai' an Municipal Party Committee presented the gold medal to the award-winning units (the fourth group).

Si Yong, Secretary of Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee of the Communist Youth League presented the “Winners’ Cup” award to the winning schools (the first group).

Chen Zhichang, Deputy Secretary of Huai’an Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Huai’an Municipal People’s Government presented the “Winners’ Cup” award to the winning schools (the second group).

Wang Siyuan, Deputy Secretary-General of Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government presented the “Winners’ Cup” award to the winning schools (the third group).

Chen Xingying，Vice-Governor of Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government presented the “Challenge Cup” Award to China University of Mining and Technology.

In the the closing ceremony, the award-winning project from China University of Mining and Technology, “Preparedness Averts Peril—the Pioneer of Community Flexible Emergency Advisory Services” and the project from Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, “The Fusion of Traditional Chinese Medicine Processing and 3D Printing Technology—‘China Smart Manufacturing’ in the Copper Bone Repair Stent”  were also invited to a road show.

The “Challenge Cup” Jiangsu University Student Entrepreneurship Competition has been held 11 times since 2000. It is the most influential university student entrepreneurship competition in the province with the highest level and the longest history, and has become an important platform for unearthing and training innovative and entrepreneurial talents. During this competition, the CPC Central Committee actively organized the provincial colleges and universities to participate in a series of activities, such as “Cloud Relay”,“Cloud Sharing”,“Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation Cloud Exhibition”,“Youth Study”,“Famous Teachers’ Lecture Hall”, and so on, which further enhanced the mass quality and communicability of the competition. After the closing ceremony, a series of future activities will also be organized, such as “Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Camp”, “Pilotage: First Lesson in Schools”, Micro-class of “Open Courses on Belief”, “Sending-post through Train”, live recommendation of posts and entrepreneurial project promotion, etc., to further amplify the effectiveness of the competition.
