Recently, the final of the Sixth China International “Internet+” College Students’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Jiangsu Province was held in Nanjing. HYIT won fruitful results including 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 7 third prizes, and in particular achieved HYIT’s zero breakthrough of the first prize in this competition, with both the award-winning levels and the winning amount reaching record highs. HYIT is also among the best of similar colleges and universities in Jiangsu province. Chen Xiaoming, Shao Yongxi and Ye Hua were awarded as “Excellent Advisors”.
Since the very launch of selective test of the provincial competition, HYIT had attached great importance to the competition. It held several thematic work-promotion meetings. Major school leaders visited the preparatory competition site, watched the final simulated road show and guided the participating students for many times. They also had face-to-face communications with the instructors and the participating students, encouraging them to be confident and achieve their best results.
HYIT has always attached great importance to the innovation and entrepreneurship education of college students. It adheres to the “Internet+” Entrepreneurship competition for college students as the starting point, promoting education and learning through competitions. During the period of organizing students to prepare for the competition, the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship is strongly supported by the school leaders, each faculty, Student Affairs Office, Information Office, Logistics Office, Security Office and so on. The achievement will further stimulate the enthusiasm of HYIT’s students for innovation and entrepreneurship, enhance their innovation spirit and confidence in entrepreneurship, and lay a solid foundation for the realization of higher quality and more sufficient entrepreneurship of HYIT’s students.
The competition attracted 276,000 participants from 68,000 teams from 150 universities and 132 secondary vocational schools in Jiangsu. After the preliminary and semi-final rounds, a total of 212 teams entered the final. As a well-known brand of youth entrepreneurship and innovation, the competition has become an innovation and entrepreneurship event with the most participants, the most comprehensive coverage of universities, the maximum number of participating teams, the highest level of participation and the greatest impact.
The introduction of the projects:
1. Escaping from Troubles with Peaches: Peach-brewing Technology Helps the Industry Prosper (first prize in provincial competition)
Team members: Zhu Shengnan, a postgraduate, majoring in Chemical Engineering; Xu Zhangyu, an undergraduate student of year 2018, majoring in Food Quality and Safety; Yang Yawen, an undergraduate student of year 2018, majoring in Food Quality and Safety.

Brief introduction of the Project: Given the fact that there is no market for the poor-appearance peaches, which leads to the huge loss of peach farmers and environment pollution problems, this team generates honey peach wine, a natural combination of product and technology. Through three core technologies: optimal saccharomyces cerevisiae, distinct multi-step coupling drop acid process and wine color stability, the team created the peach fruit wine with unique taste and flavor. Multiple patents and provincial research projects are all affirmations of the technology. In June 2019, the team was upgraded to Huai’an Liangguo Biotechnology Co., LTD., and the person in charge, Zhu Shengnan, invested 500,000 yuan as the legal person of the company. By far, the company has built a production line of fruit wine with an annual output of 15 tons. In January 2020, the company obtained the food production license, and implemented the production and operation mode of “company to farmer” and “online + offline + member”. The company is expected to produce 195 tons of peach fruit wine annually in the next five years, with an output value of 31.388 million yuan, a duty-paying value of 5.475 million yuan and after-tax profit of 15.635 million yuan. This project reduced the loss of 390 tons of peaches, increased the income of peach farmers by 1.56 million yuan, led farmers to expand their planting area, promoted the adjustment of industrial structure and increased agricultural efficiency and farmers’ income.
2. The Leading Single Dispersive Polymer Micro-sphere and Photonic Crystal Film in China (second prize in provincial competition)

Brief introduction of the Project: High-quality microspheres of monodisperse polymer can be employed in packing chromatographic column, the separation and purification of biomolecules such as protein and amino acids, in the slowly controlled release of drugs, disease diagnosis, as well as in high value-added products including new ceramic materials and liquid crystal display materials. In addition, it can be used as ultrapure water treatment material for industries such as pharmacy, semiconductor, or as additives for paint, surface coating of paper, cosmetics and other bulk commodities. Pal and inverse opal photonic crystal material can be used as photoelectric functional materials, displaying anti-counterfeiting materials and biological functional materials. Huai’an Jingwei Sphero-crysta Technology co., LTD., with its unique formula of raw materials, using the method of dispersion polymerization in suspension polymerization, through emulsion polymerization such as ultrasonic cleaning process, has developed mono-disperse polymer and microspheres photonic crystal film products with independent intellectual property rights and has reached the level of the foreign famous enterprises in terms of quality. Now the technology of the company is at the leading level.
3. Intelligent Drawing Examination: Subverting the Era of Traditional Drawing Examination with AI (second prize in provincial competition)

Advisors: Associate Professor Hu Ronglin, specialized in Artificial Intelligence; Professor Feng Wanli, specialized in Big Data and Professor Zhu Quanyin, specialized in Data Mining.
Brief introduction of the Project: This project mainly provides technical software review service of working drawings for construction units, survey and design units, and for supervision departments and other parties. Such service intelligently examines working drawings by adopting technologies such as intelligent distribution, drawing comparison, flaw inspection and big data. The project technology was appraised by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development in 2016, and the appraisal conclusion was: reaching the leading level in China. In 2017, the project was awarded “the Second Prize of Huai’an Science and Technology Progress Award”, recommended by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and reported to the State Council (only two in Jiangsu province), which was fully affirmed by Premier Li keqiang. In November 2018, the General Office of the State Council commended Huai’an, Jiangsu province for its digital map review on the typical experience and practice of the Fifth State Council inspection. CCTV-2’s program “Half-Hour Economy ” gave a special report on the project on December 4, 2018. The project was also reported for more than 40 times by Jiangsu TV, Huai’an TV and other provincial and municipal media. In 2019, appraised by Academician E Weinan and other experts, the project technology has reached the leading level in China.
