Recently, HYIT students achieved good results in the 5^th"East Money Cup" National Financial Elite Challenge for College Students. The team formed by Xie Wen, Zhu Yuxuan and Zhang Shuming won the second prize; and the three teams formed by Chen Yue, Li Youkang, Liu Xikang, Yang Ru, Li Pengye, Jia Huimin, Li Yanchen, Xiao Liqi and Zheng Rong won the third prize.

The competition was sponsored by the Youth Development Department of the Communist Youth League's Central Committee, organized by East Money Information Co., Ltd. and the National School Communist Youth League Research Center. The theme was "Igniting the Dream of Wealth, Climbing the Peak of Life." Hundreds of thousands of students from 1,782 universities across China were attracted to participate in the competition since registration was opened on April 15. New records were set in every respect. After rounds of fierce competitions at the university, provincial and national levels, 1,488 teams from 31 provinces and regions stood out as winners.

The competition enhanced students' awareness of financial security, trained them in the skills of financial practice and improved their spirit of teamwork.
